International Baccalaureate

What is the International Baccalaureate?

Formed in 1968, the International Baccalaureate is an educational foundation (based in Switzerland) offering four programmes to students aged between 3 & 19. The focus is on teaching students to think critically and independently, and how to inquire with care and logic.

The Four Programmes

  • The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 3 - 12.
  • The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is for students aged 11-16.
  • The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is for students aged 16-19.
  • The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Career-related Programme (CP) is designed for students aged 16-19.
